EDC is making the best use of Web-based professional development to improve content knowledge and pedagogy, addressing individual and group learning needs. We’re leveraging online platforms to provide low-cost, widely accessible opportunities that enable more teachers and school leaders to share knowledge and resources, participate in interactive learning activities, and join online discussions. Advancing Biology Education for Online Professional Development, a partnership with PBS TeacherLine and New York schools, investigates an online PD course’s impact on teachers’ content and pedagogical knowledge, as well as students’ knowledge. Contact Shelley Pasnik.
