Stacy Dimino has broad experience with nonprofit agencies and early childhood education programs, with expertise in program design and start-up, organizational management, governance, fiscal management, and contract monitoring and compliance.
Dimino is Project Director for the Head Start National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations, funded by the Administration for Children and Families at the Office of Head Start, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Center supports the leaders of Head Start and Early Head Start programs across the country with activities and products that incorporate current, research-informed leadership, management, and fiscal principles. The Center promotes a culture of empowered learning that builds organizational capacity and promotes continuous program improvement.
Dimino has served on the boards of the Massachusetts State Special Quest Team and the State Head Start Collaboration Advisory; the New England Quality Research Advisory for Head Start; the Massachusetts Association of Early Education and Care; the Child Care Capital Investment Fund; the Massachusetts Department of Education McKinney/Vento Advisory Council; and the Massachusetts Early Education and Care Advisory Committee (Program Service Delivery).
In her previous role at EDC, Dimino was Project Director for the Head Start Massachusetts state-based Training and Technical Assistance Center. Before joining EDC, she was Executive Director for a comprehensive early education agency that operated Head Start and Early Head Start, and she was Chief Education and Training Officer for Horizons for Homeless Children.
Dimino received a BA in history and early childhood education from Boston College, and she was a J&J Head Start Fellow at the Anderson School of Management at U.C.L.A. She is currently doing graduate study at Simmons Graduate School.
